I am wondering about getting new brakes for my 2015 Chrysler Town & Country. I have no idea how to replace them. I don't even know if I need to. I recently drove a rental of the same car and those brakes felt really new. I have had the 2015 for 3 years now and have not changed the brakes. How do I inspect the brakes? What is a reliable brand that is maybe mid-range priced?

Tyler, there's a couple things to take into account when inspecting breaks. is it disk? or drum? if it is disk then you may have to remove the wheel to get proper access but you can see how thick the pads are. generally there will be a wear bar in the middle of the pad. if the pads are worn down to being thin the wear bar will not be visible. it's time to replace! also check to see the thickness of the rotor. if all else fails take it to a local tire shop, most of them will inspect the brakes for free
